The Bird Public Lecture is one of the UNY Bionic CDE agendas which was held on April 5, 2019. This Public Lecture is intended for students both UNY and outside UNY. This Public Lecture with the theme "The Importance of Scientific Research and Publication" with the speaker Imam Taufiqqurahman, one of the founders of Bionic who is also the Director of the Kutilang Indonesia Foundation.

The Public Lecture, which began at 14:00 WIB and ended at 16.00 WIB, was attended by approximately 50 participants from various universities and organizations. The program raised the concept of a mini seminar with the MC guiding the proceedings and a Moderator guiding during the core activities, from material presentations from speakers to open discussions.

The Bird Public Lecture aims to increase student interest in research and remind students of the importance of Scientific publications. With this theme, participants are expected to start the research with the spirit of storytelling, write down all the phenomena obtained while in the field and publish them. The purpose of this writing is to ensure that the data obtained is not lost by time.

After the core session ended, the event continued in the form of an open discussion. In this session the participants emphasized again that there is no need to be afraid if the equipment they have is not adequate, because the data is not only in the form of photos, the data can be in the form of sketches and written writings.

The event is expected to be able to accommodate students in increasing interest and enthusiasm in scientific research and publications. The event ended with a photo with the participants and the committee. (Lita)
