PENGHARGAAN PRESENTER TERBAIK DI BIDANG BIOINFORMATICS AND COMPUTING DIRAIH OLEH MAHASISWA JURDIK BIOLOGI UNY PRODI BIOLOGI

On 07-09 2019 last January an International Seminar was held which carried papers in the fields of biosciences, biochemistry, and bioinformatics. This seminar has been known since 2011 as ICBBB (International Conference on Biosciences, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics). The 9th ICBBB was held in a country dubbed the Lion City or the Thousand Larangan State, Singapore. The seminar took place at one of the best universities in the world and on the Asian continent, the National University of Singapore, located at 11 Kent Ridge Drive, Shawn Foundation Alumni House, Singapore. ICBBB is a prestigious seminar hosted by a group of organizations called the Hong Kong Chemical, Biological and Environmental Engineering Society (HKCBEES) and the Biology and Bioinformatics Society (BBS), and is supported by National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. The 9th ICBBB was attended by researchers, students, lecturers from various parts of the world, starting from Singapore itself as a host, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, China, South Korea, India, Nigeria, Turkey, Russia, Serbia, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Portugal, Australia, Egypt, Malaysia, USA and UK.

The 9th ICBBB also presented expert speakers, namely Prof. Hans-Uwe Dahms (Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan), with a paper presented titled "Precious Bioresource Information from Hydrothermal Vents (HVs)". The second keynote speech was delivered by Prof. Sung Wing Kin (National University of Singapore), with a paper entitled "Finding Transpositions in Repeat Regions Using High-Throughput Sequencing Data on the first day. the second day, January 8, 2019, the 2019 ICBBB conference began at 09.00 Singapore time. Keynote Speaker III is Distinguished Prof. Cuie Wen (RMIT University, Australia) with the title paper "Titanium-Based Nickel-Free Shape Memory Alloy Scaffolds for Biomedical Applications"; Keynote Speaker IV is Prof. Tatsuya Akutsu (Kyoto, University) with the title of the paper "Integration and Analysis of Heterogeneous Biological Data via Convolutional Neural Networks and Matrix Factorization", then pause coffe break and group photo at 10.20 -10.50. Keynote speechs are restarted from 10.50 -12.30 with a keynote speaker: Keynote Speaker V is Prof. Kuo-Sheng Cheng (National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan) with the title of the paper "Medical Applications and Future Trends of Bioimpedance Technology"; Keynote Speaker VI is Assoc. Prof. Hiroyuki Kudo (Meiji University, Japan) with the title paper "Non-Invasive Bioinstrumentation for Next Generation Medicine and Healthcare"; The invitation speaker I is Assoc. Prof. Yuncang Li (RMIT University, Australia) with the title paper "Development of Biocompatible Magnesium-Zirconium-Strontium Alloys for Biodegradable Implant Materials". On the day of the seminar, the parallel presenters were divided into sessions according to the topic of the paper. There are 6 sessions, namely: Biomaterials and Functional Materials, Biochemistry and Medical Electronics, Environmental Monitoring and Protection, Biological Image and Signal Processing, Genetic Analysis and Engineering, and Bionformatics and Computing.

A 2014 Biology FMIPA UNY study program student, Dwiki Prasetiya, managed to leave for Singapore to attend the 9th ICBBB. The student brought a paper derived from the results of his research in the Final Thesis and became one of the Oral Presenter in the Bioinformatics and Computing session. The paper he brought was titled "Ecological Informatics Approach to Analytical Habitat Preferences of Auricularia delicata in Bingungan Forest, Turgo Natural Forest Conservation Area" which is the guidance of Dr. Tien Aminatun. Dwiki went on to become one of the 6 best presenters. The best presenter award certificate is given directly by the Chair Session of each session. As the final output of this seminar Dwiki and other presenters are entitled to publish their papers in Scopus indexed proceedings, which are managed by the publisher of ACM (Association for Computing Machinery), USA. This proceeding can now be accessed paid on the ACM Digital Library website page, titled Proceedings of ICBBB 2019. # dwiki-tien (ed)
