Biology Alumni of FMIPA UNY Won a Scholarship for S2 Studies at the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University

In the 2023/2024 academic year, two alumni of the S1 Biology Study Program of the Ministry of Biology FMIPA UNY received scholarships from Chulalongkorn University to continue their S2 education. The two alumni are Titan Dwikama Putra in the Program in Biotechnology and Luthfia Dwi Rachmani in Microbiology and Microbial Technology, Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University.

During his S1 studies in the Biology Study Program, he focused on the academic field and participated in various activities, including becoming a practicum assistant and a research assistant at the Microbiology Laboratory. In addition, it has been published in reputable international journals. This interested them further in the microbial biotechnology field so they decided to further study related to this field. Chulalongkorn University is a destination university because of its excellent reputation and providing study programs with the desired field of interest as well as full scholarships offered by the university. The scholarship selection process includes three stages, namely file selection, interviews with department administrators, and finally interviews with prospective supervisors. Through this process, they managed to get a full scholarship and continue their S2 studies in the Land of the White Elephant.
