Yogyakarta, April 25, 2025 — The Student Association of the Department of Biology Education (HIMABIO), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), successfully held the Department Talk on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 15:00 to 17:15 WIB, at Room D03.2.01.03. This activity marked one of HIMABIO’s initial programs in 2025, aiming to serve as a platform for voicing aspirations and strengthening communication among all elements within the department. The event involved not only HIMABIO board members and active students but also lecturers from the Department of Biology Education in an open dialogue setting. Students were given the opportunity to present survey results, share perspectives, and provide feedback related to academic processes, departmental services, and student organizational dynamics.

On this occasion, Dr. Anna Rakhmawati, M.Si., Head of the Department of Biology Education, responded directly to the aspirations expressed by the students. She conveyed her appreciation for the students’ participatory spirit and emphasized that the department is committed to following up on constructive feedback to improve the quality of services and learning activities within the department. The event successfully created a warm and productive atmosphere, where all participants were able to listen to one another, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration between students and lecturers. It is hoped that similar activities will be conducted regularly as part of a shared commitment to building an open, adaptive, and inclusive academic environment.
