BIOLOGY LECTURERS COLLABORATE WITH THE MINING INDUSTRY: DEVELOPING AN ALTERNATIVE GOLD RECOVERY METHOD FROM SPENT ORE USING RHIZOBACTERIA-ASSISTED PHYTOMINING

Efforts to support sustainable innovation in the environmental sector continue to grow. Lecturers from the Biology Study Program, FMIPA Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), Prof. Dr. Tien Aminatun, S.Si., M.Si. and Dr. Anna Rakhmawati, S.Si., M.Si., have established a research collaboration with a mining industry partner, PT Bumi Suksesindo (PT BSI).

Pada Selasa, 11 November 2025, Program Studi Biologi FMIPA Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta menyelenggarakan Kuliah Tamu Mata Kuliah Fitofarmaka yang diikuti oleh 40 mahasiswa dengan dosen pengampu Dr. Evy Yulianti, M.Sc dan drh. Anggitya Nareswari, M.Sc. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan secara daring melalui platform Zoom Meeting dan menghadirkan narasumber Apt. Andrea Dhieta Utama, M.Med.Sc dari School of Health and Life Sciences, i3L University.

Peningkatan Kompetensi Praktik Mahasiswa melalui Studi Lapangan Budidaya Lebah Madu di Magelang

Program Studi Biologi FMIPA UNY melaksanakan Studi Lapangan Praktikum Budidaya Hewan pada Sabtu, 15 November 2025 di Griya Lebah Tuksongo, Borobudur. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan pengalaman langsung kepada mahasiswa mengenai teknik budidaya lebah madu sebagai bagian dari pembelajaran berbasis pengalaman.

Inovasi Topikal Nanoteknologi Pegagan: Mahasiswa UNY Kembangkan Solusi Luka Diabetes

Mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) kembali menorehkan prestasi melalui riset inovatif dalam Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa bidang Riset Eksakta (PKM-RE). Tim peneliti berhasil mengembangkan formulasi topical powder berbasis Nanostructured Lipid Carrier (NLC) yang mengandung asiaticoside dari tanaman pegagan (Centella asiatica), sebagai solusi pengobatan luka ulkus diabetikum (UD). UD merupakan komplikasi serius dari diabetes melitus yang berisiko tinggi menyebabkan amputasi dan kematian.

Topical Innovation in Gotu Kola Nanotechnology: UNY Students Develop a Promising Solution for Diabetic Ulcers

Students of Yogyakarta State University (UNY) have once again demonstrated their innovative capacity through the Student Creativity Program in Exact Research (PKM-RE). A student research team successfully developed a topical powder formulation based on Nanostructured Lipid Carriers (NLC) containing asiaticoside derived from Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) as a potential treatment for diabetic ulcers (DU). Diabetic ulcers are a serious complication of diabetes mellitus, often associated with a high risk of infection, amputation, and even mortality.
